Injector removal
«

In my efforts to revive the Centauro From The Grave, I've reached the step of removing the injectors from the throttle bodies. The manual shows the injectors held in place only by a small bracket secured by two torx screws. I've removed the screws, but the injector body won't come out. Is there a trick here, or do I just need to use more force?

You may have to tap on it w/plastic screwdriver handle to jar it loose.

That bracket is more of a retainer than a clamp. The injector is similar to this pic (took it for another reason -- not your injector). It is held in place with large cross-section O-rings like you see in the pic, only more of them. (You can get an actual pic by searching "centauro injector" on ebay.) It is not a threaded fit -- it's held in place by the seal friction. But the O-rings can get swollen and hard with time and have a lot of friction and gum holding them in place. So probably you need more coaxing force.
If you've not yet removed the fuel lines, do so before trying to pull the injectors. Penetrating oil won't hurt. I've popped them out with a pickle fork, and the twist-and-wobbly-pull works too. The O-rings might become more pliable if they're gotten hot (heat gun, if you can reach in there with it).
That's all I've got.
