I Like Rim Tape!

When we purchased our scooters, I put matching blue rim tape to up their visibility factor.  This week, I did the bikes, as we ride them much more often in low light conditions. 
What have you done to improve your low light visibility? 

Anni in daylight.  This tape is silver when not refecting.




The Honda (+ scooter in the background) in the dark.  This tape is black when not reflecting (the scooter's is the same blue as the body panels).

Google customTAYLOR33 and it will come up.  I've purchased the tape from Amazon, and Ebay both, and his shipping is fast, as well as his response to questions.  For example, I texted him the pics above along with my thanks, and he responded in 5 minutes.  He also does custom work and sent me these examples.

The tape comes in pre-curved strips (straight is available too), and installation is easy.  If you need tips, just ask, I've applied it eight times now.

I've orange reflective rim tape on the black/orange Special. Most useful for finding my campsite at night. Picked up a secondhand axle to make a re-load easier

The rim tape we get here comes on a roll, like thin sticky tape. It's hard to get on a rim smoothly by hand & eye. Laying the wheel horizontally on an axle helps keep the rim level & the tape goes on smoother.

And an axle is useful for re-tuning spokes, should they ever need doing. With Italian chrome on the Classic's rims, I can see a sandblasting & powder coating fo rid the rim of rust in its future. The stop-gap measures I've used to date will only last so long.

I got a set of red  reflective rim stripe segments for my Ninja 250 from eBay seller cgd_graphics.   I found their listings to be easy to understand, and their service was very good.
