New Dealer
« on: December 20, 2017, 09:47:56 AM »
I was in my local Greensboro NC Indian dealer today where I bought a Scout 60 last year.  Lo and behold, they are becoming a Guzzi dealer too.  No product yet but they predict soon after the first of the year. There website is https://indianmotorcyclegreensboro.com/. This is really a first rate dealer, shop and atmosphere too. Very highly recommended (by me).  Here is my Scout 60.

That’s great to hear as I live in between Winston-Salem and high point. Gboro has a guzzi dealer a few years ago but let it go. Maybe it will catch on this time. As long as I can get get advise and assistance from the great guys on this forum I won’t be paying any dealer for things I can do on my own.

An Indian dealer in NJ recently picked up MG as well.

Wonder if that could be a trend. I can see them being complimentary side-by-side.

Yes, I agree.  Good entry level bikes in the Scout 60 and Scout with competitive pricing, and beautiful larger models for touring.  This dealer has been great to work with and sells a lot of Indians. I expect they will market Guzzi too.

The Scottsdale, AZ Indian dealer just started carrying Royal Enfield, I have let the owner take my MGX and V7 out for a ride and both times he came back grinning from ear to ear. I have asked him to look into the possibility, we shall see? We have both Indian and Guzzi in the garage now and are very happy with all of them.

My wife and I were in Charleston, SC in September and on the way to our hotel noticed a Harley/Guzzi dealer. On our way out of town we stopped in to look around and they told us they had just recently started carrying the Moto Guzzi line and thought they were a nice fit for the dealer. The dealer is North Ridge Cycle.

That's my dream, which I'm sure will never be realized. Not to own, just to have one local there carries both. Ahhh....

Bring the FLHP over to the Indian guy in Wayne and trade it in for a Springfield and you already will have your dual dealership dream.

Not even remotely local, well over an hour maybe closer to two, and crappy roads.

Fwiw, I spent a couple of years riding all the touring models from all the brands I like before deciding on the FLHP.

Come on, who doesn't love a 2 hour ride North on the NJ Turnpike, think of the great views you get over the Perth Amboy bridge?
(I think everyone I know detests that ride from Philly to North Jersey)

A short ride to South street in Philly for some Jim's steaks is a better option!

I still have family in NYC. True story, I have two records with drives from Philly to NYC, the shortest and longest.

My best was like an hour and half door to door. The worst was one Thanksgiving, SEVEN HOURS!

Too bad that dealer wasn't down here, anything south of Dix/Mcguire would work for me.

I should say that there were things I liked about the big Indian touring bikes (motor design, frame, intake), but they were even bigger (longer wheelbase and length, and sometimes even heavier) than the RK.

Not to mention Harley has some very well thought out features on their touring models including saddlebag design and quick removal, the quick detach windshield, and of course about a Brazilian times more options for accessories and parts in general.

Oh and no need to even go over the bridges for a cheesesteak, we have Gettanos on this side of the river!!!

I agree on the harley Kev, I love my Calvin but the FLH Harley’s are hard to beat as a Touring mechine. I recently bought an 07 softail deluxe for my son and I to share and it’s also a great tourer. It’s only short comings are the bags are too small to be very useful but taking an extra bag on the rack fix’s that

Yeah, I guess I remember when my dealer (Speakers) was in Ohio.

But for a while I was spoiled when I was in Chester County PA (Philly Burbs) as we had one in Philly (FBF), one just north (Coopersburg Eurosports), one to the west (Europa Mecchina) all about an hour or so and under 100 miles.

Of course two out of those three are now gone....

That is great news, and about time we had a dealer closer than Charlotte! The same guy who owns the Indian shop also has another dealership a few blocks away that carries Triumph, Royal Enfield, Aprilia and Piaggio scooters, and I'd been wondering why they didn't have Guzzi as well. After losing Victory at the Indian shop, it's nice to see them fill the void with Moto Guzzi!

Always glad to hear of new dealerships being established as it seems like ones are closing all the time.  Aside from a passion for the bikes, I have literally no idea how or why anybody continues to sell them here in the US.  So MANY BIKES leftover and sitting on dealer floors right now.
