Found a new place to get tools , prices are good and the Chinese stuff is good quality. fast shipping. I got a quick change tool post for my 10 inch lathe and I'm pleased with it.

Interesting stuff.

Nice link, thank you.  I like it that Harry Epstein's site lists the country of origin for their tools.

I found a 1/4" drive socket set for smaller fasteners at ACE Hardware.  On sale $9.99 made in China, Craftsman brand.  The next day, I'm over in Home Depot.  A set made for Husky brand, made in China.  Priced at  $6.99, on sale.  Same amount of sockets in matching sizes.
Both sets have the same perceived quality.  Guess which set I kept?  ACE is a 3 minute walk from my office.

Yeah....the Chinese tools suck.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.
