We were fortunate enoough to see it here in SoCal.
Pix courtesy of Grandaughter Arie. Grandson Max thinks maybe he'll be a rocket scientist. He told me all about how it works. (!)

That was pretty impressive. Every once in a while a launch of something secret would leave Vandenberg and all you would see was the effect solar rays had on the gases left from the rocket engine. One night it looked like a giant eye.

That is a great pic!  I saw a launch of a Delta rocket from Vandenberg AFB on a partly cloudy day near dusk.  When the rocket passed through a large cloud it vaporized it and created a big hole so we could still see it going.  Very cool.

I saw a launch that looked like that while traveling up US95 in Nevada early one evening. It was pretty freaky until it broke into the sunlight at higher altitudes.

That's their 18th launch this year.

Last month I got a tour of Space X in Hawthorne. It was fantastic! Extremely clean with many robots (and humans) working 24 hours. Very nice commissary too. Also saw a prototype of the Hyper Loop. So cool!

Very kool indeed. Did you have to know the secret handshake to do that stuff?
