With the forecast being 10 and 11 degree highs with wind, no f@#*ing way! Our glider club usually has a group that fly on New Years day. Tow plane better have had winter oil put in it.

Twowings, tell me you aren't making the trip to Seaba Station.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

Current temp here in lake woebegone around - 14 before wind chill, my face tingles when I go out to my shop. I and Mr.Wilson ( Standard Poodle) will get dressed up and walk our normal  3.5 mile loop today when it warms up to -8. Parts are out in open, parts are through wooded areas. I will be dressed for it and half way around I’ll be sweating. Wilson has booties to prevent the snow / ice build up between his toes. We will have beautiful sunshine and be thankfull to be alive to enjoy the serenity. Looking forward to the beginning of a new year and the experience of witnessing one more ride around the sun. This is how I survive our winters in rural West Central Mn. But those Bemidjiens are crazy.

On a side note our own Fotoguzzi made the credits on the 10 pm WCCO news last night in recognition of his outstanding work. Good job Brad.

Cold and wet here today. Apart from a quick walk to the paper shop I’ve stayed in all day. You’ll not get me on the bike till the daffodils are in bloom.

Some guy from New Jersey won the motorcycles raffle at Seaba Station. That was kind of cool that someone visiting from afar bought a ticket and won the two immaculate old Honda CM250's.

Got my New Year's Day rides in.
17degrees in Hotlanta, Georgia this morning.
100 miles between the Street Glide and the mighty GRiSO.
It has warmed up to 26degrees. Took this photo of the dash when I got home,
never noticed before, but is that a snowflake to the right of mph readout??
And at what temp does it come on?

On my two CARC bikes the snowflake comes on a 37 degrees F. And the temp won't read below 12, it  just shows dashes.

It was a balmy 14 degrees F for the high here in Wichita today.

My motorcycles are beginning to wonder if I am ever going to return to them.

When I opened the garage door to get the GS out yesterday, all of my motorcycles were sympathetic and in agreement with my limited riding this past week. Except for the GS and since it's German, it just doesn't think the way the rest of them do.
