What kind of tail light do you have and where did you get it?
I believe it's an Emco. My cousin gave it to me along with the extra lens with the blue dot. Not sure where he got it from. I'll try and find out.

JJ ..... your Centauro is a unique machine. I can see why you've held onto it for several years.

Bob

Happy New Year Bob, and thanks for your kind words.

I have owned five (5) Guzzi's in my lifetime, and this is by far my favorite...plus, they only made 245 "GT's" in 1998, and only 1,918 total Centauro's from 1997-2000.  I have "upgraded and sorted" all the known faults for this model  this bike, and have logged about 5K miles on it since I bought it.

It is a cool and fun Guzzi, it fits me well, and I plan on riding it and enjoying it for many years! :thumb:

That is a good looking Guzzi...and reminds me of green '93 Triumph Trident 900 I rode in Germany 2004-2005.

Ok. So the thread veer is careening far afield so let’s have it...what is this? Cali III Or later Tonti that’s been reworked? Tasteful. Great color. Great seat. Screen. Foot controls. Right there with orange guzzis 2003 aluminum. Beautiful

Just last month in South Carolina.
They know what snow should be made of.

Currently on the snow side of the rain/snow line of the early January blizzard  in Massachusetts. It's disguisting outside. Dropped the tank, tins and bags for my T3 at the paint shop yesterday.

They should be this color in two weeks.

Think I'll head into the workshop and rebuild my spare transmission. It's only waited 3 year.

Rather be riding in Florida.

From Rider Hill in Dahlonega GA to home in Hudson OH July 2012

Note to self once I arrived home.  After cursing the cold while filling up car today, hard to remember it was that hot!

.....  I made it home in one piece.  The Guzzi ran flawlessly.  I’d planned to leave on Friday afternoon, but I stayed over until Saturday morning.   To say it was a warm ride would be an understatement.  It was more like riding in a convection oven for 3 days, but as long as I could keep moving, it wasn’t bad.  On Sunday, I had resorted to pulling into rest stops  every hour or so and soaking my tee shirt in water, and taking advantage of the evaporative effect.  It didn’t last long, but it helped .....
Main ride:  2008 Guzzi 1200 Sport (sold July 2020)
2012 Griso 8v SE (sold Sept '15)
Reliable standby: 1991 BMW R100GS
2014 Honda CB1100 (Traded Nov 2019)
New:  2016 Triumph T120 (Traded Dec 2021)
New:  2021 Kawasaki W800

JJ, what a coincidence!
My bike was built by Hartmut Taborski in 2004!

Ok. So the thread veer is careening far afield so letÂ’s have it...what is this? Cali III Or later Tonti thatÂ’s been reworked? Tasteful. Great color. Great seat. Screen. Foot controls. Right there with orange guzzis 2003 aluminum. Beautiful

Hartmut Taborski, AKA HT Moto, built this bike based on a 1984 1000 SP II frame.
The design is his, i.e. tank, fenders, seat, mufflers etc. Some parts might be off the shelf, some made to order. For many years he sold these parts to people who wanted to build their own roadster.
I believe there was a choice of short tank and a long seat that could accomodate two, and a long, 27 L tank such as mine and a solo seat.

Nothing else than the frame remains of the 1000 SP II that I can remember. The motor was shot and replaced with a 1000S motor with increased bore, twin plugs etc. Lovely motor!

As you may recall from a photo earlier in this thread I can equip the bike with a rack for hard HB bags, takes only a few minutes. So it's a splendid bike both for short rides and long distance touring.

Nice bike!  Where did you find such a psychedelic helmet, and were you dressed to match?

I wrongly believed that Centauro's were un attractive until I saw one live.
They are a dominant looking piece of kit to be sure.
Is there any particular colour or graphics scheme that sets them off best ??
