Why that's prettier than a Sunburst D-28...the scenery is nice, too.

By some measures it's a dreadnaught, too!

Extra points for pics of bike and tent?  I'm in!  You may need your magnifying glass to see the tent in this pic, taken in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, 2011.

I'll always remember the words of the Park Ranger.  "Guys, if you hear any noise around your tents during the night, don't worry.  It's only buffalo roaming through the tent site."  Well, that certainly put my mind at ease, thinking 'what the hell does one of these creature weigh?'

Hi Twowings - I led a group ride once, and that was enough for me .  Nevertheless, if you ever get up this way I can probably provide a bed, garage space, a beer or two and plenty of advise (some probably complete nonsense).

If you are heading up this way, drop me a PM.

Ah tents !
Bought this expensive Redverz solo/single tent a couple of years ago, only used it twice. Great for camping when it’s wet or you stay for more than one night- which “I don’t do!”

My usual travelling tent, just a small 2 man, just to roll into to sleep.

I do the same.   The Redverz (with 26 tent stakes to hammer into whatever ground you have) takes too long to set up for just one night.   But for two or three nights (say at a rally), it's a real luxury.   No rolling around on the ground trying to put on your pants, plenty of room to keep stuff separated, you can live in it no problem.   All the dirty, muddy stuff stays in the outer vestibule (even your bike if you want), and your sleeping area (which you can stand up in) stays clean and dry ....

One night, just the little two-man tent like yours.   It's just one night, you can put up with about anything .....
