summer vacation 😎

Guten Tag, all ya'all!

So, I've been thinking long and hard on this and its coming together. I've wanted to tour around Europe and now I can. I plan on touring southern France this summer!

I've got my camping gear, my route, some lodging already. I'll go straight south from Stuttgart to Lake Constance and Zurich . Next, lake Como and Mandello. I will stay overnight in Como with friends. From Como south through Milan area down to Genoa. Then turn right and follow the coast, or not towards Montpellier. I have some relatives in Massat, gateway to the Pyrenees and will visit them. From there, north and east to Strasburg. Crossing into Germany and back to Stuttgart.

All that in only 12 days!! Of course, I'll have to doo about 200 miles each day,, with resting.

I have to check the distances to be sure, but I'm not thinking it will be too stressful.

I've seen some magnificent photos from southern France by other riders!   I'd love to see what it looks like in person someday ....

Well, who's better than you, Tom?!?    Sounds fabulous...and safe travels!!    Absolutely something to look forward to this summer! Be sure to take and post photos for those of us still working / slaving away, and who will be lucky to have get a measely week's vacation this summer...

Indeed.... Photos of the French countryside really don't do it justice...






I remember driving around here (Mount. St. Michelle, near Normandy), in August 2004 and wishing I was on a motorcycle instead!

Only 12 days of vacation...what happened to the standard 6 weeks of Vacation/Vacances/Urlaub most European companies give their employees. 

Seems like you're rushing here...have to savor it a bit more!!!

But if that's all the time you've got...looks like a wonderful route and a good time to be had indeed!

Two weeks in April /May for a visit from one of my sisters. Then two weeks on the road, a two or three days in August for the big Guzzi rally, then a few more days for Mandello in Sept.😎😎😎😎
