Your young bloke did a fine job; enjoyed the scenery and the music.  The bells in the middle of Finland was a bit unusual but that's why people travel, yeah?  To see or experience something different.  Was that filmed with a helmet go-pro (or equivalent)?  How much memory did the video take up?  That was a fair amount of footage.  I'm hoping to take a long trip later this year and starting to look at different things I might want to do.

About the handlebars, blimey! (to borrow a word).  Nicely done.  Sounds like a fair amount of effort to get the bars where you wanted them and a good end-result.  I hadn't been paying attention to how the wrists were tweaked; just the lean/reach.  I'm going to have another look now.

The newer 2015 (from 2012 on?) had a re-work on the handlebar positioning based on what I've read.  Cycle-ergo.com seems to support that.  Even with the re-work I'd like them to come back to me a bit.  I'm probably the T-Rex of the motorcycling world.  Hopefully a basic pair of risers would do the trick; I haven't welded anything since I was 12 and that was a small metal box only a mother could love.

While I was poking around the forum, it sounds like some folks with the 8v have come up with a hardware store (ebay/amazon) option that might work for that.  Obviously wouldn't change the width between the grips or angle though.

Appreciate all the suggestions and I'm enjoying digging through old posts.

I saw my first 2015 Norge in Agostini's and was chuffed to see that the 'bars were altered in a similar way to mine.
The DVD was shot on a Go Pro Hero 3+ Silver.
I think that is the card I bought in Sweden somewhere.
64 GB from memory (so to speak...!)
4 hours of raw footage and not full.
2014 /15 / 16 / 17 are there also but 2015 is on a BMW 1200 GS and You Tube have pulled 2016 due to copyright infringements.
PM Timmy the Hog on the forum here.

It's my fave, has Stelvio and Transfagarasan....
