Name that exhaust....
« on: March 19, 2018, 09:12:57 PM »
So trolling youtube i find this thing called “Devils” exhaust on a Stelvio. Don’t much care for the name but I digress.
Is it home made or commercial made?
Does it look like it would do harm?
This would work a treat for allowing “standard” Guzzi hard bags from a Breva or even Aprilia but........

Thanks,

Devil is an actual exhaust brand. I don't know what that thing is, but sounds like an angry farty butthole and looks like a metal foreskin.

I agree with all but the point is it looks like you can mount an aftermarket lower muffler on the Stelvio. This would make room for the “regular” sidebags.

I am not wanting louder pipes but would enjoy the weight savings. Just not at the cost of having to remap and change airbox...etc.

Thanks all,

Changing the airbox will achieve nothing. Remapping is cheap and easy.

With the factory bags there is no need to change pipe and you wouldn't be able to tuck the bags in appreciably further anyway due to the mounting system. What bags are you considering? If you plan to 'Roll your own' as it were you may be able to tuck the one on the left in a bit but on the right if you try that the swingarm will foul it. It would require modifying the rear bodywork too.

Thanks Pete,

I was hoping to get some Breva or Aprilia triangle hard sidebags and not the rectangle, hang out in the wind, make you wide in the back, stock Stelvio bags. At least the ones I’m familiar with from a 2013 model.

In order for the above to fit, I understood the left bag would not clear the stock pipe. Am I wrong on this?

Sorry? What is? The pipe? It's not that loud. It'll make the bike run sub-optimally but unless you choose to ride noisily in an area frequented by noisy morons I ant see it being too terrible???

Excuse me for poorly channeling Mr. Roper, it was unintentional. My first thought was "mini flaccid farty robot whale penis" but that didn't work.

My second thought was " Stelvio, hand crafter by artisans in Italy, exhaust hand crafted by child laborers in china".

In all seriousness, I'm all for aftermarket exhausts, but that racer boy GP wannabe muffler doesn't look right on an adventure bike. They sound and look OK on an inline four at high RPMs.
