The Pilot 4's have been consigned to the Gods after 21,000 k.



They do look a bit shagged compared to the 5's, but that set have seen Arctic Circle gravel (Nordkapp),Eastern European mountain passes (Transfagarasan), German Autobahns, Italian cities (Rome),French and English Motorways and Aussie potholed "Highways" (Bungendore backroad...!)
I'm sure there will be other offerings that will compare, but I'll be needing the evidence before I'll change.
I'm reminded of the folks who said of the V85, "I'll believe it when I see it" 
They're gunna' take some beating..

Tried that Ratty.
Not enough grunt from the old Norge, but did get some smoke from the clutch, will that do ?

For my Norge, the PR4 GT is the tire of choice and will remain so till some pretty big evidence comes along supporting another choice.

You need someone to lift up just slightly on the rear, it'll light right up.

I visited a budding mechanic in the Canberra region last week.
I suggested as much but he was less than keen..?
Also was in San Francisco once and someone lifted as you say, and it didn't end well...
