Nothing here.
Is it a popup ad or emails, or what?

It happens to me a lot when I use my I-phone to access the discussion site. Usually lasts for 2-3 days then disappears for a week of so. Annoying for sure.

I was told iPhones never have problems like that. I am confused.

The same happened to me last week when visiting WG on my iPhone and lasted 2 days.  I haven't had it repeat as of yet.

I never see it at all.

I use a locked down version of Firefox for main browser on all platforms, a locked down (and totally not carrier controlled) Android phone, and I seldom use the phone for browsing.

For me it was a full screen redirect that was easily closed but only on my iPhone.

Nobody's answering ... ?  Haven't seen anything like it myself, just wondering how it "gets in".

Yes, a pop up that takes over the page and it takes a bit of effort to get the page reloaded, only all too often see this pop up reappear.

It would help if the folks experiencing this disclosed their operating system.  So far it's looking like an Apple OS problem.  I don't want to jump to conclusions though.

Call Amazon on the phone and tell them that if it doesn't stop you will never shop Amazon again.
If enough people do this it may have an effect.

It's likely not a true virus, but a forced redirect over-riding the browser. This is easily done on any platform if the browser is not locked down.

And for those who think iOS, MacOS, Linux, or any other OS is resistant to malware? You are part of what keeps me in business.

My wife fixed mine. She is going to tell you guys how to rid this problem.

Wife:
Hey guys- if clearing your history didnt work (didnt for us) you can go into your phones settings to internet (iPhone would be safari) and change your search engine to differnt one. The amazon/whatever pop up can be linked to the search engine.  Danny can now access this guzzi board through yahoo or bing, etc., but not google ( stupid pop up still comes up here on google). This doesnt fix the problem of the pop up existing  but should allow you to access what you need via another route.   You can probably access this site (whatever site pop up is blocking on your phone ) on another device (tablet, laptop etc).  Hope this helps.

It could be platform independent, but it could be hidden in a system or app update or exploiting a hole in a system or app.  I look for patterns.  That's why I was asking.

And yes, the folks who thought they were impervious to malware, hacks, and other nasties were the mainstay of my business, too.  As a support tech my business was best used preventively, but mostly used reactively.  Sometimes I wanted to rename the shop VIRI-R-US.  It's a funny name if you think about it with a drawl.

iPhone 6 and this “winner on Amazon” crap is only present at WildGuzzi.
All other sites I don’t experience it. Got so bad that every single time I opened WildGuzzi, I got the message. Next morning it was gone. Reappeared few days later. It’s been a nuisance about 1 week now.

Well, now, some of us who keep you (or guys in your line of work) in business are proactive folks who don't depend on some delusion about Apple's being immune to malware, but who pay you a monthly or annual fee (I have two) to keep our systems up to date, protected against known or impending threats, and cleaned up.

That's not a bad thing is it?   Works for me - I've never been gigged by a virus or intrusive threat, and I don't get "spam" Emails .... Costs some money, but it's the price of hiring bodyguards in this sometimes ugly world ...
