« on: March 23, 2018, 01:41:48 PM »
any knowledge out there on which Frame numbers had the straight cut gearbox?

Guzziology says the Lemans IV SE's and some late Lemans V's, anyone got more specific info?

Not sure why you would want one.  The straight cut box in my Sport 1100 is one noisy s.o.b.

I'm guessing he wants to know if his Le Mans has one?

If it's not clear in Guzziology it's probably not to be known with certainty.
As noted above, if you have it you'll know it as they make enough noise to be frightening to first-time riders (I just bought a '97 1100 sport i 1000 miles ago) Beyond that, I think you can see through the trans filler at least enough to determine, or maybe the drain plug with a good light and mirror.
Something wistful and amusing, yet poignant.
