I made it back yesterday. 5 hours and about 270 miles each way. Harley did fine except for the seat. Seat is fine for local riding, but distance is not so good. First two hours were good, then the two bones you sit on started to hurt a bit. To Yuma was alright, but on the way back the last about 45 minutes was pure hell. I should have stopped to walk around a bit, then finished the ride. I also should have brought my gel pad to see if it helps, but it sits me a bit higher over the windshield. On my EV, the pad doesn't seem to help, but then again only my left siting bone hurts on it.

It was a nice ride. I haven't been down there in a few years. I thought it was about 5 years, then I found my Pin for the last time, it's been 10 years. How time flies. Did the last one on my Eldo.

I would have done more pics, but the bikes were just the normal touring Harley's for the most part. I didn't stay for the festivities, so no pics of them.

Now I need my rear end to recover and maybe make the Cottonwood event. Debating on if I can do 8-10 hours on the EV seat even with the gel pad?

I assume this was the infamous and annual Yuma Prison Run, yes?  In the 80's a group of us rode there every year.  Interesting place with a lot of history.

Sponsored by the Norwalk Centaurs out of SOCAL for >50 years, I believe...

It does get warm, however, in the summer months!
