Only for those folk who had a hissy fit and threw all of their toys (photo's) out of the cot.
$20 is a bargain so will take up their offer even though all my links are still good for some reason.

Thanks for the heads up John U.  :thumb:

Along with the hissy fit folks, it would also include the people who don't like being bait-and-switched and ripped off, and who found another photo storage solution that they are satisfied with, and won't take the trouble to go back to P-bucket and wait for another lubeless event without even getting dinner.

That would be a lot of us.

Is this new? When I started using Smugmug there was no easy way to move pictures from FB to Smugmug...

The whole "hold your past linked photos hostage" ploy was a terrible move, but the problem for me was that, before they made the move to pay for host, they killed the site with popups.  It's like they never had a business model that worked for their investors.  Hopefully the new owners got a fire sale and can make a good run of it.

1.  I will pay for a nice working image hosting site providing there are no ads and the site is easy to use.
2.  I will use a free site and gladly put up with the advertising.

I won't do both.

All of my photos are on the computer hard drive.  Everything gets backed up monthly to an external hard drive.

Photobucket was a great convenience to post up pics for "do it yourself" projects.  Thats the sad part - that much of that information is now lost.

Right now I'm using flikr - until they go belly-up... or whatever

In a world of zip drives, external hard drives, and the ability to upload directly from phones and computers to, well, everywhere... nah. Forget about it.
Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

I just checked the Lario Rehab and Aero Engine novels  in the completed projects area, and the pictures are there again. Needless to say, Photobucket can kiss my patootie, but at least those pix are back..

I had the hissy fit and I'm sticking by it.  Between the ransoms, hackings, harvesting, scams, and all the other breaches of trust, why would a sensible person store anything on the internet?  It's like having a random stranger hold your wallet and house key while you go on vacation.
