Excellent! Take care of yourself, watch that diet, and take two bike rides per day to promote complete healing!

Attaboy. The Reaper isn't such a bad guy, once you get to know him. He's just doing his job, but a little lonely since everyone shuns him. Treat him right, and he'll give you some more time..

Jim,
This time last year I had a triple bypass. Since then I've done a lot of hiking and riding. Complete recovery is possible - indeed I feel fitter than ever.
The Doctors will tell you to walk, walk, walk. Take their advise seriously - it is the best and quickest way back to health. Small steps at first, gradually increasing distance and tempo as your surgery scars heal. Soon you will be romping along without a care.
Don't rush the arm use though. With nothing but a bit of wire to hold your chest together, you need to take the admonitions to take it easy completely seriously.
Life will return to normal, and sooner than you think. Best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery back to great health.
All the best
Nick

Thank you for the prayers, good wishes and positive thoughts.
Paul - I better have a rollerized version for what they will be billing my insurance co.
Nick - Thanks for sharing your experience, I was walking, but will kick it up a notch. I may make that goal of hiking the CO. trail with my sister in a year or two.
Old Bike - Got a 2 lane, feel a little short changed.
Rodekyll / Tex - This snuck up on me, I was showing no symptoms, took a stress test with a cardiologist and he saw a problem. When they went into take a look; the widow-maker artery was 100% blocked, another was 70%, I feel lucky to be alive.
Rodekyll / Tex - please check your p-mail.
Everyone Else - if you are over 50, get a stress test regularly and maybe you can avoid being surprised by something like this.

Congratulations on a successful surgery! Been there 2x (2001 & 2016.) You'll be back on 2 wheels before you know it. As Nick mentioned, give the chest some time to mend. In 2001 I went out within 3 weeks of surgery, hit a bump on the little W650, said to myself 'damn, that hurt!' and immediately took the bike home and parked it for a few more weeks.
