Best Bluetooth option?
« on: May 26, 2018, 06:06:37 PM »
Maybe not the best forum for this but the smartest people I know hang out here. I need to outfit a new to me work truck with Bluetooth phone capability. I have used a Motorola visor clip device that is adequate barely. I want speaker phone, push a button to answer, on and off with ignition, and would consider aftermarket stereo install as an option. Don't want to spend bunches of money and would prefer a product recommended by real people. Any of you have anything to hel

My son has just replaced his stereo on his 2005 Toyota Landcruiser with a Sony  Car play (Apple & Android) uses his phone as a gps, plays his music and has full Bluetooth capability. Works as well as the standard fitment in my wife's 2017 Astra   Only difference is the answer phone button is on the dash on his unit whilst it is on the steering wheel in the car.

I use this in my Corvette.  If you have 3.5mm input, just plug it in and play it off AUX.  You can answer phone, get directions and toggle music from Smart Phone.

I've seen them was as cheap as $5.  Saved me hundreds vs getting a new radio.
