Great deal on Suzuki 1000G Poconos, Pa $1500.
« on: July 06, 2018, 01:19:40 AM »
Here is a  '93 Suzuki 1100G with rare factory fairing. These things go like the wind, and run forever. I know nothing about this particular bike, but it looks clean. My friend has one with over 100k miles with  no major repairs.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Suzuki-Other/132690236547?hash=item1ee4f45483:g:p~gAAOSw8eFbPOjF&vxp=mtr

Too fast for me:

I tried to buy one with the factory fairing back in 2004 and it got gone before I could get to it and hat's how I ended up with its little brother the VX800.  Funny how life works as I ended up loving that VX except for two up duty.  When Kim started riding with me more I bought the EVT.

I had its twin, but with a Rifle fairing. Dead reliable, smooth, fast. Sold it to a co-worker who rode it for many miles with no issues (he did eventually have it freshened up at our favorite shop), then he sold it to his co-worker at his next job. I saw it some time later on Craigslist, still looking good. The original owner on mine had fitted a lower bar which was just right, a WP shock, and stiffer fork springs. (Incidentally I was a serial VX800 owner too--had two of 'em :) )

For GSF12 man (assuming that refers to the Bandit 1200 GSF1200), looking at this bike I saw several parts that served well on my 97 Bandit 1200 - seeing better now how the Bandit was called a 'parts bike' at the time.

Northeastern PA. Near the Delaware river, which separates PA from NJ. where are you?  I've not ferried a bike in 3 years.  R3~

Like- Suzuki gets how to repackage and market the same set of parts - and make money?

I think Guzzi has gone a little longer, making a variant on V-twin since 1967.  Jus' sayin'.

But perhaps you're right on the "make money" part, since Guzzi has changed hands a few times.

A mint '91 black one with 19K miles was my first hi performance bike.  90+mph in 3rd gear.  Ran like the wind.  Neat, neat bike, but was gonna get me killed in Montana.  The "G" yahoo group was a neat bunch of guys.

Can't believe they left the warning sticker on the fuel tank.  You can never take it off now.

Seeing various 1990s style bikes out there, I am now realizing why the 90s were a tough time for motorcycle sales.  ;)  I have never owned a bike produced in the '90s.  Went from an '85 to a 2001.
