Let me count the ways this is so FU from the factory...just what were they ingesting those days anyway? It's so messed up, it's a collector piece, right? A factory chopper where all you have to do is add extended forks and boom, your a chopper guy.

Thanks that's great stuff. I loved using my roommates Interstate and drove it more than he did. The shift pattern set up was amazing. Upside-down and on the wrong side I can't remember, and felt perfect.

I love Commandos, but not the Hi Rider. It's the un-Norton. However, it pre-dated the "factory custom" craze that occurred in the late seventies, making it a trend-setter. At least it's pretty simple to return a Hi Rider to Roadster trim...and besides, Nortons had great ads.
