I love '70s CBs. Absolutely love them. I'd pick that up in a heartbeat if it was near me.

Sold my CB350 earlier this year. $1200.
The '70's were great for motorcyclists. Still are.

Used prices in the U.S. make me envious. Seriously. They're ridiculously low.

No measuring it, but I think I see a softening in the market the last few months

Older Triumphs have come out of the closets big time. Hard not to find one restored/taken care of/worthy of attention in every city, but moving slowly and I see a trend downward in price on these

Minty showroom fresh but unrestored examples of Honda/yam/suz/Kawa seem to be sitting unsold for lowered prices

Consider 80s Honda going for a stronger price than a used newish 300, but still not moving and posted for a long time...

$1000 goes a really long way...I missed a Perfect unrestored Suzuki gt250 for less than $1500,

and the good looking 350-4 posted above seems a steal at $1200. The minty stuff has come down in price and near rusty has been going unsold

I see one or two in every city in the NE that's priced right (below$2k) and amazing looking...."not running just needs a carb clean" doesn't cut it anymore. Huge price drops or left unsold on those

There is a flood of demand for the older stuff outstripped by the supply of good, good enough, and better examples trickling out of garages, while the new (2010 and newer) is sitting there at huge price drops

This cb175 seems high priced to me right now. Lower miles and better condition for even less seem to be floating around out there right now if your patient

Might be the fall season when people decide they don't want it in the garage another winter

Consider this ujm going begging for $1000...why would the old cb175 go for $2k? Because there is a greater demand...

Chuck, you're amazing, I fell into sequential lust for each bike you posted.

But I will second your "softening" assessment, my '86 LeMans with 19k and a funny paintjob isn't even generating a scam text, e-mail, or lowball offer @ $3k.

Seriously, that's all you got for a nice looking CB350 Four?   Was it running?

I sold a green '73 for $2,800 in April.
I've got a black one like the one pictured that I'm hoping to sell for more this coming spring.

I don't think you can use the big Bandits as any sort of benchmark related to used bike pricing for other motorcycles.  They have been the best buy on the used motorcycle market for 5 or 6 years.  I've helped a friend buy two in the last few years.  One was a 2000 and the other a 2003.  Both were in 8 out of 10 condition with less than 12,000 miles.  Both were $1000.  The 2003 came with Givi saddlebags and a trunk.  Both had Yoshimura exhausts and were jetted correctly.

The other screaming deal, IMHO, is a Concours 1000.  I see them all the time for around $1,000.  A sport touring bike with factory luggage, that's capable of 160mph and has a bulletproof engine really should cost more than that.

Should've posted the second photo with the fairing. I am drooling over that one. What a elegant, beautiful design. Wonder what kind of bevel gearbox they use to turn the crank rotation 90-deg? Who cares, that thing is gorgeous with the fairing.

Damn.  I wouldn't sell my big Bandit with Givi luggage for $1K.  That 600 is a steal for that money.

You're right.  It's more like 135mph but still....95hp at the rear tire, factory luggage, comfortable, super reliable....hard to go wrong on a Concours for a grand.

^ Cam pitting at 35-40k miles is not uncommon on the ZG1000. I've seen two with this malady.

ZRX1100 cams sometimes pit too.  They can show pitting and run forever.

In case you hadn’t seen this. Talk about low prices for desirable bikes. There are so many great older bikes on the market just not enough younger beginners or older collectors to keep the prices where they ought to be. Supply and demand. Space, money and time to ride them all prevents me from adding to the 7 in our collection. One has to wonder what will the market look like in another 10 years?

Yeah, there's a few members here that have voiced that same observation. Seems like the oldsters prop up the prices of the old Loops, what happens when we/they become too decrepit to enjoy them anymore? Who in the heck is going to want to deal with a Convert or Cal 2 Auto's issues in 10 yrs? Sad, but I can see it coming.

My first bike was a 70  CB175. I lived on it !  Mine was orange/white.  Worse problem was an electrical connector under the tank so batteries didn't last.
