Thanks!
I do wonder how well suited any Guzzi is for flat track racing, though....

That baby weighs 400 lbs. I have a Griso and feel short-changed!
According to official specs the Griso's dry weight is 222 kg = 489 lbs.
Dropping the original muffler saves quite a bit, but where do they find the rest of the savings???  :thewife:

Somewhere there is a pile of lights, rear sub-frame with seat and passenger pegs, a bunch of lights and gage wire relays switches and stuff, a massive pile of front brake rotors calipers hydraulic lines master cylinder and lever, wiring harness, and if they ran the exhaust through the V there may be a missing charging system (you only need a little battery power to run the bike around in a circle for a few laps. And yes the stock exhaust with it's cat con do weight a bit more. And a lighter weight 2 gallon tank would be plenty.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

You're right, Darren  -  some of those savings you mention would be substantial.
Then there's the claim about a weight of less than 400 lbs for the very much operational street bike GTM01, in that other thread.
I.e. the same weight as this very much stripped-down build.
