Stornello anyone???
« on: September 20, 2018, 05:36:13 PM »
I was coming home from Northwest Pennsylvania today I decided to stop into Kissell Motorsports which is located between State College and Altoona. They are a BMW, Ural, Zero, Alta, and Beta dealer. As I was perusing around the inventory I noticed they have three brand new never titled V7 Stornello's on their floor. Being curious I asked them if they bought a closing dealers inventory. One of their salesmen told me that was not the case and that they had bought the Stornello's from Piaggio at auction. He said the bikes were still in their shipping shrink wrap when they received them. I found this interesting to say the least. In any case if anybody is looking for a Stornello they have a few. They are asking $6,799 for them

Well there you go. With Moto International closing, other dealers will step up to wholesale what Piaggio wants to move.

Seriously.  How does anybody even thinking about another motorcycle pass on that deal?

Did not see them on the Kissell website.  Was that the out the door price, or were there handling, etc fees?

It's no wonder dealers are giving up on MG. They're trying to make a living selling bikes and Piaggio is whole-selling them out the back door for black market prices. I love my Stornello. Can't say the same for the piaggio company

I'm not sure why they're not on the website but I assure you they're there, I was just there yesterday.

That is cheap. I bought mine a few months ago from xtreme power sports, accident Md for $6999 out the door. They still had two left at the time. I was down at kissel's a few weeks ago to buy a new shoei modular helmet. Cheapest price I've found and a large selection.

Love my Stornello, have #742, just passed 1K miles, bought it for $6899 out the door from Xtreme Powersports in Accident MD. yes it has a full Guzzi warranty, though Piaggio is lame......

Sweet little bike. Just swapped out the fork springs for KTECH 7.5lb springs, gave a 3/4" lift to front, and much more controlled front fork. Have stock fork oil in for now, may change for 7.5 if I want softer. But so far NO more bottoming.... The stock springs were so soft they were ridiculous. Hoping these stiffer springs will match the stock valving and viscosity.

I also ordered 420mm Hagon Trail shocks for the rear, waiting for them to come in. Hoping for a bit more suspension lift and travel, more supple and controlled ride. Will be happy if it is as capable as your average adventure touring bike..... Nex up will be the bag situation.

THe Stornello is such a pleasent bike. PERFECT for what it is. I have no idea if it rides and runs like a standard V7, but to me the V7 chassis is perfect for the Stornello.....
