Eagle eyes required on this potential 750 S3
« on: September 26, 2018, 12:49:45 PM »
I'm interested in this 750 S3 advertised.
-very little was on the ad: VK2 and rebuilt awhile back.

I contacted the owner for more info:
-Engine and frame number
-what was rebuilt
- chrome or nickasil cylinders
Etc etc

Can any eagle eye spot a non 'S3' ? (Beyond the paint, seat, grab rail, fairing)
The top yoke looks wrong to me...

Looks like a tarted up T3 to me. The top yoke (and therefore bottom) is a T/T3/etc. piece that been ground down, which means the fork center-to-center dimension is 195 mm, not the 180 that it should be. From there, T> axle, spacer and bearing/disc carriers. Foot controls and footrests look like they're a bit forward too, so likely T3. For sure, that sidestand isn't an S3 part! Later switch for the headlight/signals/horn. Wrong mufflers and shocks of course.

What Charlie said.
Also, it's hard to tell which rear drive box is installed but it looks like a T3 type. Wouldn't the S3 have had the rear drive with 6 bolt sump?
Edit: 750S would've have the 6 bolt type. Disc brake S3 would've had the T3 type...

Thats a tastefully done T-3. I like it. about the only thing I would redo is the seat. :thumb:

I love these types of threads. I know nothing about the 750 S3, but you have the best on it already!

Stephan, you've been on the hunt for a while now, last time I looked Muzzi Moto had a 750 S3 on their website, a black one with the orange stripes.

Looks like it's trying to be the  illegitimate love child of a Mk1 LeMans and a Telaio Rosso V7 Sport.
