Only a cheapy but had to quantify pressures on my Lario build
No idea how I got away without one building race engines, just trusted spring makers or factory and checked installed heights and of course, coil bind, blind assambly in hindsight.
Have only chuck's springs (uncertain heritage) and oe 750/8 valve tested this morning but difference that 0.020" makes is mental but much more than that, the difference between two identical looking springs is vast. To attain even pressures I have to shim each spring differently.
Every day a school day, have a few more options to measure before final assembly , hope to be running soon, will not break this time

i'll be curious to see the differences between the OE twin spring  kit , and the later single spring valve springs...
for the nuovo falcone i measusered the springs with a ( person) weight scale and my drill press,
a bit fiddly , but quite effective

 This is not a criticism, just my curiosity.  Why would it matter that valve spring pressures be equal?  Seems like there would be a minimum threshold of pressure needed to timely close the valve.   So what difference would it make if all springs are above that minimum level?

     The rudimentary procedure I have used is to cut two blocks of wood the thickness of the check height and use a bathroom scale while pushing the spring down with a board across the top until it bottoms on the blocks and take a lb reading.  Not so accurate maybe , but will show a weak spring by comparison to the others.

Don't have oe twin coil nor any ref in book, nominal pressures, heights etc
Do have single from 750/8 valve, coil bind is big issue here, actually couldn't use iny engine, esp as they came with factory mod extra preload bottom retainers. They added .7mm to the disaster they already had , mad

In this instance, only trying to find where the grenade pin goes back in but spring pressure is a fundamental of tuning, optimum pressure, not excess. Higher it revs the more important it gets.
That's why desmo is so clever, conceptually perfect, if fiddly

If I had a Lario my aim would be to have the minimum pressure exerted on the cams and followers and still get the revs I wanted out of it without the valves bouncing.

Lets face it, the Lario and longevity are not usually words used in the same sentence.
