Wow! just amazing what stuff is selling for...if I had just held on to some of my old bikes  :violent1:

Thank you... :thumb:    When I think if I held onto the 34 bikes I had in the last 52 years (since 1967...), and just put them in some warehouse...OH BOY!!!

An old Crocker went for $107,00+....whew!

Actually, this one DID NOT SELL...as the BID GOES ON, (which means it did not hit its RESERVE!!)....and because these are $300,000-$400,000 bikes!!

Crockers are worth $250k plus, like Dale's

perhaps less for a restored one.

It’s my first time at the auction, over 1500 bikes to view, WOW this is overload

A decent Laverda Mirage went for under $5K, it needed TLC but still, that’s cheap.

The 750s is all correct and original, V7 Sport is nice

The red Crocker was missing a few things, like the gauges and most of the engine internals, hence the low bid price.

Wow. I wonder what the story was on that Sport 15. Buyer paid $55k with premium.
I tried to get a condition report this week and did not have much luck by email or phone.
The auctioneer said there was a big history just before they sold it.
I think you really need to be there to bid and find the seller to get info.
I think SED made the same comment earlier.

Laverda GS1000 for $4400.

I doubt anyone could purchase the fairing alone for that.

The V7 Sport sold for $13200 and the 750S sold for $13200 as well. They sold well below what I thought was market value. A 1976 Benelli 250 Quattro sold for $15400 but a 1982 Benelli 254 Quattro only made $6600. A real nice Airione sold at $8250. I was thinking of bringing a couple bikes to sell next year but after seeing two of Guzzi’s finest sell for $13200 I have second thoughts. Stupid money was paid for Honda Monkey bikes.

Based on these results I might go next year to buy

The Moto Guzzi Airone sold for $8250, I though that was low, I paid $2K less for a tatty one that needs a lot of work. the bigger brother 1950 Astore was just beautiful and sold for $17,600, fair price IMHO. The star of the show for me eyes was the 1931 Moto Guzzi Sport 15, stunning and commanded top dollar $55,000.00

Had I been buying there were some low priced bikes that could be brought up to spec with some work, a tatty 1980 Ducati Darmah sold for $5500, and a similarly rough 1975 Moto Morini 3-1/2 Sport $3300, for the brave a Laverda Mirage in fair shape went for $5500.

STUPID money award goes to a pair of 1986 Honda Monkey bikes still in the crate, $51,150 !! And there were many more Monkey bikes that made $7K or more.

And one that went for much too little IMHO - 1972 Ducati 750 Sport - $27,500, it was stunning. An equally nice 1974 Ducati 750 GT sold for $29,700, the Sport typically sells for $15 ~ $20K more.

Yes...so many examples of "Stupid Money" and "WTF" last weekend  ...here are two more examples!!

Get two hungry bidders...add a little alcohol...and off they go!  All part of the fun and excitement of MECUM in Vegas, however! :thumb:

I had a 1967 Honda S-90 when I was 15 years old...back in the day...bought and SOLD for $100-$125!!

What's a "Monkey bike"?
I had a CB350 and a 550 Four back in the day. Loved them both.
I know the 750 fours have become collectible, and probably deserve it, though I'd hate to have to tune four carbs.
But most of those I agree - don't get it.
