I am thankful for Wild Guzzi
« on: November 22, 2018, 12:43:18 PM »
Gotta put this out there—one of the things I am thankful for is this Wild Guzzi website and the Guzzi community in general.

The website is an absolute gem.  Thanks to Luap for its creation, and his wife, Dusty and Rocker for moderating.  It is reassuring to know that if I have any questions or concerns about my weird off-brand bike, I can expect intelligent answers or suggestions within hours.

Plus the entertainment value!  I’ve learned more colorful phrases from Pete Roper than anyone.  When Roper, or Chuck in Indiana, or Rodekyll, or a lot of you other guys explain something technical, or post up a tutorial, I’ll always read it even if I don’t have that bike.

It’s been a real pleasure to meet a lot of you folks in person.  Turnip, Paul, Beaver, Kansas John and Missouri John, Doug, etc.

And special thanks to Dusty.   He’s a taciturn fellow, but if you ever get him to talking, there is literally no telling where the conversation will lead.   Valve train design could segue to ancient anthropology to quantum physics to Oklahoma oil wells.

Take care everyone!

I'm glad it's here.   I enjoy being able to talk to y ladies at my convince.   For those that don't know me, I am an irreverent kind, and I'm having fun with the ladies thing.   So yeah, thanks girls.   Specifically, thank you Luap and Crew, you facilitate the good stuff in life.

Thank you SS for summing it up so eloquently for all of us who feel exactly the same way.  Hats off to Luap and all the moderators and contributors that make WG such a unique and special place to hang out.  No mater what any given day throws at me, I take solace in the fact the WG is always here to help kick us down the road. Cheers and thank you all!

Well at least he did it in the daytime, that's a rare thing.   Usually you find it with your bare feet early in the morning.   So you DO have something to be thankful for!

Well said SS, I endorse your sentiments completely.
I will say that I feel my membership of this family feels a little lopsided since I am constantly benefiting from these forums but I don't have any real Guzzi knowledge or expertise to make a meaningful contribution.
A big thank you to those technically talented folk who take the time to help others in need on here and also those folks who are maybe not so technical but who constantly add to the wit, humour and general interest value of this site.

Cheers
Glenn

Let's just say there are always up and downs, even here...

But nevertheless, it is always entertaining and informative!

Truly a thank you  :thumb:

Wildguzzi is the best motorcycle related web page out there, compared to other Italian motorcycle sites (Laverda, Benelli, Moto Moroni) this group is much more active, knowledgeable, interesting and helpful!!
I hope the WG community recognizes how good they have it and continue to generously support this site when January rolls around and donations are needed.
Thank you LUAP, your supporters and moderators for the wonderful job you do delivering us this enjoyable forum.

Grateful to have my Guzzi and people who can do what I can to won’t do to keep it nice.

Thanks for all the kudos. It really is a team effort.  Everyone here has a hand in it, including and most importantly the members. Without the members and their donations, I would have had to close this thing years ago.

This thread makes all the work worth it, and I personally need to give a shout out to Chet, Mike, Dusty and LaSandra for helping me. You guys rock!
