I had the original Bell Revolver. I considered it no worse than other sub-$200 modulars I've had, better than some. I read reviews on the Evo when it came out, and I recall noting that they seemed to have addressed some of the shortcomings of the original. I no longer recall what exactly those shortcomings were, but they were nothing unexpected for a helmet in that price range.
What I do remember, which appears to have NOT been addressed, is the position/operation of the sun visor mechanism. While it works fine, I found that when doing a left head check, the visor lever would hit my shoulder, causing the visor to come down about halfway. This was on a Cali, so I wasn't leaned over or tucked in any way.
Of course YMMV on something like this, but for me it resulted in more than one aborted lane change, especially when it happened at night!
If you can try one on in a shop, do so while wearing your bulkiest riding jacket and simulate a head check - on a bike if possible.
