On the other hand, February 11th is about as deep and dark into winter as you get in the Northern Hemisphere.

Now if it were APRIL 11th and the weather was still behaving like this, that would be another thing.

The "Groundhog Day" thing, about IF the groundhog sees his shadow, we've got six more weeks of winter, is I say it's a joke son. You've got six more weeks of winter if he doesn't see it, too ... !!

Jan. & Feb. are like this here...but by March...it will all be over. The Christmas rose in my front yard has already bloomed...and unlike that fat woodchuck from PA...that is one sure sign of spring!

We have that for a LOT longer-but I wouldn't care if I was in AZ. You can bundle up, get a nice scotch, sit on the porch and look at the mountains all day.

Yes, even in winter time, the scenery is pretty spectacular here in Red Rock country...and the snow never last more than a few days because we get 300 days of sunshine per year - more than California and Florida!

Last year it felt like we had 65 days of sun and 360 days of rain. Hoping for a change in 2019.

Just went to the local store to get some milk...it's COLD and NAPPY out there now!!

Yep its been beyond terrible in Alberta this winter, day after day below -30C that's why I went to Baja for February,
