Have you got the work shop manual?
I'm about to do mine on my 03 EV. They look pretty standard as long as you're not disassembling the cartridge, which you don't need to.

There are 2 ways fork seal let oil past
1. Dirt gets under the sealing lip holding it open and allowing oil to pass.
2. The sealing lip is cut or damaged allowing a breach for the oil to pass.
Lots of time the real culprit of a leaking seal is scenario #1. So if you can clean the dirt oil and allow the sealing lip to contact the fork leg the leak/weep goes away. Look on youtube at "seal mate" videos to get an ideal of how to clean them. You can make you own "seal name" from a plastic bottle, film negative of any thin semi rigid piece of plastic.
If you have to replace the seals is best to remove the fork leg from the triple. Totally disassembly the forks and clean all parts thoroughly so you can inspect for wear or broken parts. After cleaning and inspection if parts are worn or failed replace them then reassemble the forks with fresh seals and oil and ride captain ride.

Assuming the 02 is the same as my old 00 I don't recall anything special about it.
I definitely didn't bother to remove the fork legs from the trees.
But it was quite a while ago now.

As mentioned, nothing complicated about the stock forks on an '02 CalStone. I would consider draining them and taking them completely apart (one at a time, of course) and inspect while giving everything a good clean before installing the new seals and reassembly.

Also quite important to change your fork oil. Mines done 68ks and I don't know if it's ever been done. But just recently I played with the settings and found there is no difference at any setting! Oils rooted

all I can say is that I ordered the upper and lower bushings and seals from Harper's and my mechanic did the work.
