California EV rear brake problem

Do the pistons in the rear brake retract flush to the caliper casting ? , I've just put a new replacement disc on but cannot get the caliper on with new pads.

Using an old pad, compress the piston using a C clamp. Then install the new pads. Make sure the piston is not showing any corrosion.
You'll need to gently pump up the pressure to bring the pad/piston back out.
Might be a good time to flush the old brake fluid and replace with fresh fluid.

I had that problem with a 2010 Stelvio when I put EBC HH pads on it. one worked but the other was too thick. The EV rears are very thin new possibly the aftermarket??? you got aren't thin enough.

I have EBC HH pads on my EV and 95 "spot" The HH is a friction coefficient should not be thicker than factory specs. Maybe they sent you the wrong ones for your Stelvio?

How full is the rear brake reservoir?

My 02 stone had the rear caliper seized to the slide bracket and wasn't moving. If thats the case it would not move to fit over the rotor with new pads
