New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Federal Agriculture & USPS rules. Can be done but a real hassle. The pineapple that I brought in was checked baggage into Cleveland International Airport. Long story short I have flight privileges. A case went to Zoom Zoom & Jan. 3 cases went to the rally dinner with some going to the OH contingent with the fresh ice cream. (Buckeye connection)
Thanks for all the great humour in this thread. I had hip replacement surgery today, and now have swathes of spare time on social media. It was discomfort riding the Le Mans made me get the surgery. You had me chuckling Glad we could make smile Getting back to the original thread.Think of the poor sod who has to clean up the mess. Not pleasant. However, freedom of choice is a biggy in my book.
Aren't I supposed to get pissed off about you guys "thread drifting" my thread?? I see that here now and then. Funny, I'm just not feeling it? Pretty sure the last guy I saw had two Z's in his name. Hmmmmmm, who was that?? Have fun ya'll!
I'll chime in here with personal opinion worth about $.02...I plan to keep wearing mine regardless of the law. I also plan to never chastise others for their choices. Their choices affect me nil whatsoever and I wish more people would worry more about themselves and not others because it's nobody's business whatsoever how others choose to live their lives in our "free" country. I'll also say that I feel mandates shouldn't stop at helmets. I HATE seat-belts and HATE the law that I HAVE to wear one. This is America and we should be able to choose how we care for ourselves, or not and it shouldn't be the government or anyone else deciding what we do or don't do to ourselves.
Yep, and you know full well how a controversial thread like this can turn ugly in a heartbeat. I'll leave it at that.ZZ
I had my helmet stolen (cut right off the helmet lock) while stopped at a restaurant in north Las Vegas (my last high $ lid). Headed for SoCal I stopped at a Harley shop along the way in Vegas to buy something like a helmet and all they sold was clothes and do rags.So gave up and headed to CA. w/no helmet. Forgot how tough riding across the Mojave at speed w/o a lid and only shades.Saw many LEOs and even pulled up at a traffic light next to a CHP in Barstow, and he ignored me.Made it home in one piece... :-)
So, aluminum, or copper crush washers ?
Okay, let me rephrase. It's not the FACT that a law has been repealed. It is the controversy that will be created on this board!DOES THAT CLEAR IT UP?ZZ
So, 15W-50 is out of the question ?
But I am under the impression that insurance expenses drove the helmet laws for motorcyclists, I could be mistaken. .....I'll always ride helmeted.
For those that are following the thread, all of this in reference to the last time the MGNOC National Rally was held in New Cumberland,WV. I brought in fresh Maui Gold pineapple for Saturday night dinner. Fresh hand crank vanilla ice cream was with the OH contingent. If you have the long horizontal picture from the rally, I'm the one in the lower left and lower right with Bucky's pix.
So, aluminum, or copper crush washers?
Well, I'm willing to believe that it was the influence of the insurance lobby that drove helmet laws for bikes. But now we've got to figure out what's UN-driving them. When I were a lad, CA was the ONLY state with no helmet law. Now MOST states have some level of helmetless riding (by age, etc). The insurance lobby hasn't gotten any weaker, and medical expenses for head injuries haven't gone down. So how'd that happen? It's something nefarious, I'm sure. Law or no law, I'm wearing mine too.Lannis
Luap,On the seat belts. I have a '62 F100 with no belts. I plan to never put them in. In Ca,. if it was not standard equipment, you do not have to have them. I'm perfectly comfortable not having them. I have had passengers ask why there is no belts. Even dated a girl that wanted one. But if I put one in for the passenger, then I would also have to have one. But, my '14 F150 has them and there is the law to wear them. I hate the law, but since they are there I feel I should wear them since I could get a fine without them.Way, way back before the law, my Datsun 510 WAGON had seat and shoulder belts. I wore them. Why.. because the car felt sporty and I drove it that way. Ever keep up with a 350ci Malibu being sporty with a Datsun WAGON with a 1600cc????Tom
IT'S MY BODY!!!!!! lol I've had a Schuberth & a Shoei (modulars) destroyed in 2 dif not my fault incidents. Both co's comped me new helmets when I sent them the destroyed ones to analyze. I wear modulars living in Fl where few riders wear any. It's their body.
