No special tools. The flange with large seal and bearing can sometimes be difficult to remove. I use a 3-legged puller with the legs reversed (hooks pointed outward) to catch the splines in the hub and pull it out.
If you're stripping it completely down to replace both seals, you'll need to warm the housing to ~ 200 degrees F in order for the outer race of the needle bearing to drop out, for access to the small seal.
