New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Tom, please don't start this crap.I don't care, what will get who when where. I have done it more times than I can remember, will I get caught the next time, maybe, that's not the point! Do it on a closed circuit, I don't care!Huzo, that's not very impressive from a machine that should have over 20hp on the Roamer!
2013 V7 Stone can do a genuine 103 mph per GPS (the speedometer is way off). I wanted to know, yes or no, could it break the Ton. That was on flat Texas ground, with 30 liter Hepco saddlebags, and a big fat guy riding it while wearing Aerostich gear. I thought about doing an underwear only run, but decided that would make a bad booking photo.

I thought about doing an underwear only run, but decided that would make a bad booking photo. There was just a touch of wind. I bet you could probably get 105 or maybe 106 mph in a dead calm desert road condition. The small block is twitchy and quite unhappy there. I routinely run 85 to 90 on the Stone for hours, and it’s ok with that. There is a tollway road east of Austin that has a posted limit of 85 mph, and left lane traffic is flowing 90+.But there is a big difference between 90 and 100 in terms of raw horsepower necessary. Given inclines and wind, running 85 to 90 means you are almost always WOT.I have yet to determine the top end of my 1996 Ducati 900SS. I know it will do 110 per GPS. The big difference in the Ducati is that it *likes* running that fast. Does not seem nervous or strained. I’d guess 125 to 130 is the top for the Duck.
The850 t went 123 .what does yours do Again?
The old small blocks were faster than yours.V50 Monza went107,the 650 Lario went 119,according to Ian Faloon in his new Guzzi book.The850 t went 123 .what does yours do Again?
When the V40 gets on the road I'm optimistically hoping to see 130 ,well maybe with a tailwind off a cliff
130 kph?
From Tkelly:I have a T-3 that is somewhat modified and dynos 56+ off the rear wheel. Have had it up to 115mph indicated with me, the wife and a trunk onboard. That was done in a very rural, flat (you can see for miles and miles...) blacktop in western KS.GliderJohn.
