Motorcycle branding slogans
« on: December 28, 2021, 11:59:59 AM »
Although they aren’t usually found in mainstream media, motorcycle manufacturers used “ branding “ slogans over time, especially in print.
Here are two that come to mind:

“You meet the nicest people on a Honda”

“ If you can afford any motorcycle, you can afford a Vincent” ( circa 1950)

Remember any others?

I think both of these were very effective use of marketing.

Anyone remember,

Slightly off topic.   But I always thought Bell had a fantastic ad slogan for their motorcycle helmets.

LONGLEGGED AND EASY TO LIVE WITH
The first part (along with the picture) got me sucked in
The second part probably why I still ride it after nearly 44 years

Actually bought a Le Mans but this was best ad  (v50 one comes close second)

The first Commando ad of quite a few to emerge from their advertising dept.

I remember a story of guy hunting down one of those models from a few years ago, and it wasn't an encounter he had hoped for due to age.
