I'm always open for new products or at least new to me.

Using something is always good practice. I don't remember seeing any shop do it "dry". Soapy water probably do the same job to be honest.

Yeah, I use diluted water/dish soap in a spray bottle. Works.

That looks more expensive than Nomar stuff! I've been using ruglide for lubing. Between the ruglide, Mojolever & Nomar stand I have been successful in changing my own tires. Also, letting the tires warm up a bit in the sun turned out to be a big help too.

I use dish soap strait, when it dries it's powder. Then you wash up rim & tire when mounted. Then it's all clean for the balance weights to stick.

I always try to use something that prevents corrosion. Right now it's No-Mar tire paste.
According to the label.....
- Vegetable based and non-toxic
- Washes with water and inhibits rust

If you let the Murphy's oil soap dry out in your lube bucket it almost like No-mar paste. I also have some mixed in a bottle by my tire machine. It has the same smell as the No-mar too.. Works as well, and is much cheaper by the gallon..
