Helmet curtains

I'm still not sold on this "experiment." He said he maxed out at 1370 ppm CO2. That's 0.1370%. I think it would take a long time to iteratively add such small fractions of CO2 together to accumulate a dangerous level of CO2 in your helmet. Probably part of why no one has ever noticed any ill effects.

I wear my chin skirt in place year-round. Vents always open, and visor cracked when I can.  I can't stand wind blast in my sensitive eyes, so I am always full face except in the very hottest part of summer- when I wear a FF dirtbike helmet and goggles quite a bit on the roads.  The chin skirt really cuts down on noise as well.

The 2 questions I have are:

1. How long would someone have to be subject to the elevated CO2 for cognitive decline to be apparent? No doubt CO2 is a poison, but how long does one have to be exposed to show ill effects?

2. What would the results be with a typical helmet?  The flared chin bar directly in front of F9's mouth is atypical compared to most helmet designs.

My experience with PELs (Permissable Exposure Limits) in the foundry ALWAYS had a time element, something he conveniently forgot or ignored. I think this whole this is psedo-science.

You should have heard the drivers b***h when NHRA mandated supplemental O2 in fuel and alcohol cars. A lot of them said “  it’s in there but I ain’t gonna turn that thing on” . After watching the video, I’m not going to change my behavior except to make sure there is airflow when I’m stopped . Riding in heavy traffic is smelly and probably not much good for us either, maybe he’ll put out a video on that.

Riding with masks on has been common for a long time in areas with bad air pollution. They don't mix well with full face helmets though.
