Redneck bike lift for the V9

I’m a tightwad and I’ve never been accused of elegant handiwork so here is my quickly cobbled together bike lift made up of scrap I had laying around. It is similar to some of the YouTube vids for Harleys and other cruisers. The problem with those is since the V9 exhaust hangs below the frame, etc a variation has to be made. As I said this was just cobbled together with junk on hand so I know it doesn’t look as refined as some of you are capable of. I used a 4x4 post and cut a couple pieces about 6-1/4” off and stacked it with a couple brackets on top to hook on the crossmember of the frame that the accessory center stand pivots on. The scrape carpet on top protects the paint. All held together with long screws. The pictures should explain it all. The eyelets are for straps attached to the bike for safety.  You insert it under the bike with the base toward the rear wheel and make sure you hook the front side of the crossmember but avoid the cable bundle on the left side. Straighten the bike up and rotate the handle back. Voila! If you need the front wheel up just lift the front wheel and place a block under the engine.
I can’t say for sure it will work with the carbon canister in place as mine must have (cough, cough) fallen off somewhere. If you copy this you are responsible for your own craftsmanship and injuries. Click on the photos to expand the view - I don’t know why they were small.

I've enjoyed all the redneck jokes and pictures of redneck solutions one sees on the internet.  but if you boil it all down, rednecks are natural born problems solvers.

Not only that, but they are also usually the first ones to help out in a pinch!!

I have to call you on that Sir Real Ed.  Many, many Red Necks are great folks, but I have met plenty who are not.   

However, it just goes to show, don't pre judge people based on their appearance.

I was talking about a state of mind, not an appearance.

But it also helps to be able to speak the lingo.  Same as with the PhD. crowd!

And remember: "Y'all" is singular.  "All Y'all" is plural.
