Wow!  30% off!

I wonder what the dealer profit margin was on MSRP.

Is the dealer making any money on these two bikes?

This could be the ever so common tactic that many dealerships use posting a super low price on the internet to get you in the door and then when you start talking numbers you find there are several thousand dollars in "fee's" being added and that "great" deal is not so great.

Wonder what the OTD price is?

Most dealers are discounting the older bikes but the amount varies. Guzzi is in the deal giving rebates.

Yeah it says "price includes all rebates". What about "all unscrupulous dealer add on fees"? Unfortunately the advertised price on vehicles has become meaningless with most dealerships. It's gotten so bad that the federal authorities or even congress should take control of.

As someone else has already said, before you get too excited about these advertised prices, check with the seller and see what the out the door price will be. More times than not, they tack on all kind of crap so what you thought was a good deal turns out to not be such a great deal in the end.

Fake news. Typical American fare.
Backwards country: you need an Advertising Standards Agency, you do, with only OTR pricing displayed. Wait! How can that be with individual State taxation? Easy, a sub-heading price showing intra-State price. Simples.

You guys can look a gift horse in the mouth. Buy a new bike and you pay $5K more plus the fees.
Expect OTD price to be around $5k less along with the same fees.
Cadre had 5 V100s at about the same price and they all flew out the door in a couple of weeks. Whats not to like?

Of course there would have to be sales tax added in most cases; I've never seen an advertised price include the sales tax.  The MG dealer in San Antonio TX, has a "new" 24 Navale for $12990.  Per discussion via messages, I suspect they might take a BIT less.  Sales tax in TX would be an additional 6.25%.  I have no idea if that would be a good deal or not.

I've purchased three motorcycles from this particular dealer, Moto Richmond in Richmond (VA):  '23 Moto Guzzi V7 Special Edition, '24 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale, and most recently a '26 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory.  Obviously, since I bought three motorcycles from them, I think they're a pretty good dealer.  Chelsea is the owner, and worked out some good deals on these bikes.  Of course there will be additional costs above what's listed as the sales price, usually shipping charges and the required sales tax.  So yes, getting an OTD price is a better comparison compared to just the sales price.  But I wouldn't hesitate to buy a bike from this dealer at all, they're good people.

Getting the OTD price on any vehicle is the only comparison. I bought a new bike last July and had a trade. Talked to two dealers (same make/model and trim package) and one discounted the bike $250 off MSRP the other knocked off $1200 or $1500 off MSRP. On the surface it certainly looked like the dealer that knocked more money off MSRP was going to be the least expensive. When I go the OTD numbers the dealer that only knocked off $250 off list price was $3000 less then the dealer that knocked off $1200or $1500.

I really don't care how a dealer gets to the OTD number but its the only number I want to see.

I agree because unfortunately it's come to the point that the prices dealers "advertise" are almost meaningless, they're simply to lure you in. So the devious practice should be eliminated. Imagine if at check out grocery stores, home improvement stores, etc started charging consumers more than what the price tags or advertised prices were, at checkout? "Sorry but we add fees for additional profit to all items and apply them at the end."

IMO any vehicle including all dealer "fees or upcharges" should be able to be purchased for the price advertised, plus any actual State fees such as sales tax, title, and license. That's the way it used to be.

To make it transparent the transaction could even be made to be separate, make your check for $11,400 out to "Richmond Moto Guzzi" and $692 out to "Virginia DMV".

A Pennsylvania dealer's quote for a new Civic included a $477 fee to "complete the documents" plus $398 for WV Title and plate. When I told them WV title costs $16 and the plate is $51.50 and I can do this myself so why would I pay you $398 for that? They said that's what we have to charge. Needless to say I walked out.

The dealer near me has 6 Navales, or did a couple of weeks ago, priced at $9,999. I was selling my '23 a few weeks ago. How was I going to price it with these being listed for this price. This dealer is notorious for add-ons so who knows what the final price will be considering what they add on to each deal. I know their doc fees are pretty high as well as setup. To me setup should be included in the price of the bike. Kind of like going to the grocery store for a lb of ground beef and being charged extra for the grinding. I just bought a new V7 850 from Elk Grove Power sports, it was a fair deal, I would have liked a little more for my trade though. However we buy MG's knowing the resale will be poor. Also shipping on the V7 was $1,100. Yikes. The big fees, taxes, license, registration and title fees went to the State of California.

In July my dealer in Largo Fl, had a 2024 V7 Sone Ten, advertised for $6500.   After the fees it was about 9 grande out the door.

The first one is $14,100
Second is $13,3000
Both are prices “out the door” in the state of Virginia.

Sometimes "after all rebates" means an up-front payment with a refund. Many of you have bought new Guzzis ( I have not), is their rebate off the sticker price or not?

Those OTD prices seem reasonable.  From what I remember when I bought my Guzzis from them, the shipping charges alone were over $1000.  Add setup charges, state sales tax, DMV fees, and their small "processing fee", it's easy to make up the difference between the sales price and the OTD price.  It looks like Guzzi has a $1500 performance credit discount, along with a $500 military/first responder discount, but that still means the dealer had to discount it a bunch as well off MSRP.  If anyone is truly interested in buying one of these bikes from Moto Richmond, contact them and ask for Chelsea, and ask her to give you the Robert Brooks "spicy" discount as well, and see what she says!

I've had the best luck buying from Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati.

They post fees right up front.  No surprises.

$800 freight and $50 doc fee, I think.

Published OTD prices are pretty rare around here. I bought a new truck out of state from a dealer that had posted their OTD pricing, minus sales tax on the web. A few times when sales are slow a few dealers post their OTD on the windshields at the dealership. No bargaining required. Thats the price, take it or leave it.

An astute observation Chad…
Honestly mate, it took all of 3 minutes to Google…
“Moto Guzzi dealer in that town…”
Dial the number…
Ask the nice lady..
“What have I spent by the time I select first gear, grimace as I hear the crash as it goes in and ride away…
She laughed a little and said…
In the great state of Virginia Sir..?
$ xxxx…”Will you be in soon…?”
“I’ll need an hour or so…
I’m naked in bed in Australia, but have it washed and brought to my tent…”
