Breva 1100 cold blooded

Breva 1100 2007 two valve 10,000 miles first start of the day never starts on the first attempt. Always starts on the second attempt. Slow to warm up, about 3 min before throttle response is ready for the road. the rest of the day it's perfect. Not a serious problem but something is not right, hope someone has an easy fix. Nearest dealer is 4 hours one way.

That model has the dreaded auto-start feature where you don't have to hold the starter button. Just tap and the computer takes over the cranking. Bad juju! There is a 4 page discussion on this.

Please describe further on the symptoms of this 'no start'. Does it crank for 5 seconds? Does it just go 'clunk' and not crank? What acts or sounds different on the second attempt? Do you live in a cold overnight environment? What happens when you advance the throttle? Advance slowly? Advance quickly?

recently read you should turn on and off once to prime fuel pump then on second attempt it fires right up! But I agree the TPS/TBS must be correct to begin with.

update; The Breva was ran for a long while without the muffler on. My friend bought the bike. Installed muffler we set the valves replaced spark plugs new oils and engine oil filter. and after a couple tanks of 93 no corn gas with Lucas fuel system cleaner the bike is starting first try every time. So just a little new owner TLC the she is working just as Luige intended. These Guzzi are just AWESOME if ya give them half a chance.
