TPMS 2026 V85TT Travel?
« on: September 09, 2026, 08:01:17 AM »
I thought my new V85TT Travel had it but the manual says the icon will flash on key on until the sensors connect but I get no flashing icon. Is this an option I failed to request or is it not working?

The Travels still get TPMS (just confirmed on a bike on showroom)  They do leave it out of the literature.   You can confirm right under seat, receiver sits on top of ECU, square box.

do you get any readings on the pressure screen?

If not, it may need activation inside the ECU.  When its added as an accy to the other V85s, we have to activate it and then synch the sensors to it.   Maybe yours was turned off at the factory for some reason? or somehow got turned off during a PDI ecu update?

I don't see the square box, nothing on my ECU and don't see a pressure screen.

Back when I bought my 2022 V85tt Travel I was told by the dealer they had removed the tpms box and wire harness, in order to sell it to another customer. The story I got was the customer wanted to add the TPMS to his non-travel model, and after waiting for months for all the parts to arrive and given no specific date from MG when they might, the dealer took the needed parts off a new bike, the one I would eventually buy. The dealer was all up front about this and promised the missing parts as soon as they arrived at the dealer, which did happen a month or 2 after I bought the bike. Installing of the missing parts was a 2 minute job as the tire pressure sensors were already installed at the factory.

I don't see the square box, nothing on my ECU and don't see a pressure screen.

To get to the TPMS readouts you have to tap on the menu button (press in) will cycle between trip 1, trip 2, menu and custom, and the TPMS screen comes up somewhere in the mix. The Module Ed posted mounts on the rear fender under the seat just in front of the ECU and behind battery. At least on the E5 bikes. Not sure on the E5+

you have it, its that square box with big cable

likely just needs a quick setup at a dealer.  Somehow set to off from MG, or got set to OFF if the map was updated at PDI

I thought the sqaure box was the ECU, looks like the ECU on two other bikes I have owned. Is there any way to get the TPMS turned on without the dealer? Closest dealer is 340 miles away.

Here is the TPMS module on an E-5. Not sure about the E5+ but from Ed's picture it looks very different.
