Looks like some junk dude had sitting in garage with which he had a desire to make a good looking bike look bad. He has it up around the throttle body inlets too. Oh, my mistake that`s Farkle`s or maybe Bling, really makes things Pop though.......lol

ok, enough Sport 1100 porn,
What have you done to make you Sport 1100 go like it was supposed too?
I have, in no particular order.

WP springs in the forks.
Created a star ground point at the regulator.
Headlamp now switched by relays.
Breather on  the rear drive.
gaitors on the forks (triumph T100 ones are an exact fit).
268 emulsion tube. 65 idle jet, 152 mains. K&N filter with the top cut out of the airbox.
Tommoselli 2C throttle. Aprillia RSV1000 RHS switchgear to allow this, headlights now hardwired on.
taller screen for reduced wind blast.
re-profiled seat with a bum stop.
mistral crossover.

I'm sure I done more than this, by for today this is what I remember.

It's torn down for some motor work (spun a bearing and needs rod/crank repairs). I've owned it since new and overall it's in very good shape aside from the current motor issue.

When you say, spun a bearing, could you elaborate

I sold her in 2004- she was on eBay last year so she is still around somewhere.

1994 1100 sport, Manual taps Keihin FCR41 carburetors K&N pods Dommino quater turn throttle, Full Termi system bottom of the tank where the airbox welded up to add another approx 4.5 litres capacity, WP springs (front), 916 master cylinder with 999 four pad callipers and a Karma adaptor bracket for the callipers and braking low carbon steel discs (although these are just about toast and I have some new ISR's waiting in the wings). Steering damper removed, forks pulled about 10mm through the tripple trees, pro grip gel grips, accel voltage reg although this was more because the OEM one died. Currently running Bridegstone 023's as I have found that modern sport touring tyres will out perform the old thing. Has approx 130 000kms on the clock. Ventra rack with the grab handle.

Next step is to go into the motor as its starting to show its age.

That appears to be a modified 1990s Ducati Supersport tail section.

Hmmm,
Not convinced.
It does look very Ducati, but to get such a neat fit around the airbox like that would me more work than most would be prepared to undertake,

Trust me.  It's a modified Solo Tail from a Ducati Supersport.

It was done by more than one person, in more than one way.

There were people who did not care for the hips on the Sport 1100.

There were at least two aftermarket tails specifically built to address that, plus all the custom Supersport tails that were adapted.

You'll find more pix of the conversions, if you continue searching around.

The one you pictured would be better, if they'd used the Ducati tail light instead of leaving the stocker hanging out there.  If you looked at it from the rear, there would be a void above the stock tail light where the Ducati light should be mounted (flush).

Hard to believe, as I find that to be one of the Sport's sexiest aesthetic attributes. The girl has got some curves and she wears them well.  ;)

One of the tails was actually called "Lipo-Section".  Radguzzi, up in Maine, had one.

It was actually a  stien diense kit I remember seeing it in the catalogue way back when there was also a dual seat that was similar. Although back then the exchange rate wasn't quiet as healthy as it is now and it was something like $1800 plus paint included a new rear subframe with the mounting for the batts etc,

Dreamed I wrecked my spot 1100 last night.  Turned the throttle wide open in 1st gear and the bike front wheel came up and thru me off the back.  Got up and brushed myself off, picked up the bike, restarted it and proceeded too do the whole scene over again.  Second time around I lost the battery and was walking around trying to find it so I could go home.  I new it was a dream because the bike wheel not pull the front wheel by just cracking  the throttle.  Have to slip the clutch a little to get it up.

I had to reread that! The first thing I saw was "wrecked my spot 1100 last night" and only noticed the "Dreamed" in my peripheral. Because of that, I thought "Dreamed" instead was "Damn".  :D
