From oldbike54:I am a terrible mechanic but I can clean and polish pretty good. GliderJohn
I've always liked the Breva and wanted one. Heck, I like all Guzzi's.But, that would look really nice in my garage. I don't have any reds yet.
100 bucks on the way to assist as needed
Nicest resort I've ever stayed in , best hosts , best food , best company , and Marley makes it perfect This is coming together , spoke with Chuck , he is in . Dusty
Ahhh, say what
Yeah, looks like a bike that would be interesting to twiddle a few wrenches on.
With John's hospitality and Ruth's cooking, I really can't see this as being work. Just saying!! I will go quite a ways for Mulberry Rhubarb Pie!!
Gonna be a learning curve Dusty
Really, it won't. They are no more complex than any other big block. If you have any queries or are worried about damaging something? Just ask. Oh, and I bunged Mike some shekels last night. If it does need swingarm bearings or a shock linkage let me know. I'll chuck in the bearings but if it needs a linkage let me order it as I get a decent discount from AF1. Don't order a lot off them at the moment because the exchange rate is so shite but I can, and get it delivered to your address of choice. Pete
Two years ago I would really of liked to do it on a Stelvio! Still would, but if I dropped it with a full tank someone would find our bleached bones out in the boondocks! Otherwise next time we'll go the boring hire car route again although that was a disaster last time! Much less reliable than a Guzzi. It was some sort of small, horrible Chevrolet and barely managed to run on ordinary fuel! Weird!Pete
I just want to win the bugger so we've got an excuse to come back! Jude and I are off to India in February and then the UK and Ireland, (With a side trip to France and possibly northern Italy if we have time.) mid 2020 but we still think we might have another US bike trip in us before we get too feeble. A Breva would be great! Far better than that POS Cali 1400 I bought for the last trip! I get a hernia just thinking about it! Two years ago I would really of liked to do it on a Stelvio! If you do get the the US, anywhere near VA, let me know. I could lend you and the misses a bike or two for a few days. Italian, Austrian, or Japanese, take your pick. Warning: Damn little desert or sand in VA, mostly woods, mountains, and farm land. I heard there's some cities here somewhere, but I try to avoid them.My Strine buddy has been teaching me how to speak Strayan, so communication should not be a problem. For those who need a primer, Thank God for the internet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHQRZXM-4xI
Guess that means we need to plan on a 2021 WG National then . Pete , mate , gather up those other Ozzies , we have room . Dusty
Sultan,Do yoou still require me to have two forms of identification even when I send cash? Your policy has me as confused as a steer at a orgy.Tex
Can I make a $40 donation to the forum and have it split 50/50 between my 2019 donation and the raffle fund Dusty ?
Peter , I appreciate the idea , but unfortunately it adds a layer of complication . Simpler just to wait until 2020 and send Luap a donation . Fair dinkum mate . Dusty
