It happened 169 years ago this summer, 9/9/1850,California became a state.
The people had no electricity, the state had no money and almost everybody spoke Spanish. There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically nothing has changed.

I've kinda lost track here , Cedar Vale isn't in Arkansas or California unless someone moved it and somehow kept it out of the news

Yes but Cedar Vale is in my path to AR or CA.
It has become a busy year for me but its a tradition that I hope continues.

I look forward to it!

     Well the bike made it far as West Chester Heights in beautiful Chester Nebraaaaaaaska    :thumb:    I sugguested Mrs. Fubar ride it to work(31degrees)she refused stating the color red go fast paint mite get away from her-----I'd take it to work but I don't have a job!!!!! The bike is a real looker+was WELL taken care of,it certainly is worth the price of a ticket to try a win-----6 months, save up your$$$$$   The only mishap so far was loosing my magnetic flasher light I attached to the trailer,in addition to the magnets attached to the light I added a plastic tie strap(so I wouldn't lose it)---well least I still have the worthless tie strap    :boozing:

Looking forward to tomorrow as FUBAR will be dropping off the raffle bike at my house. Can't wait to see it in person. Also exited to meet Mrs. FUBAR. Will be posting further pictures.
Question, do we name her by concesus here on the board or leave that to the new owner? Italian and red goes so well together.

Her present name is the Red Goose, as seen in this image from my famous Travels of the Red Goose series on Facebook. Well, not very famous, now that I think of it.

Step two completed, bike delivered to my place today by FUBAR. Took just a mile ride but runs great, brakes great, feel great, rides like a Guzzi! High first gear compared to a Norge. Has nice bag liners, Givi top case mount but no top case.
Marley thoroughly inspected and passed it since he didn't pee on the tires. :thumb: This is a nice bike folks.

Good Sunday morning everyone .

Screw that. I have a sticky front caliper on my Nissan 4X4 and need to put it in the carport and pull the wheel and have a look see. It's ugly rainy and cold out there. I do not need the truck right now but if it snows it is the only way out of my long steep driveway. It's gotta be fixed.
Dusty you're in a good mood. Wanna help?

 Faith no more .

OK , Faith is still around , but we will be dealing with a new mayor this year , and a couple of new council members . The new mayor knows us , it will be interesting to see if he works as hard as Faith has over the years to make this thing work .
