We used to have a Cattle Dog/Basenji mix, now we have a Cattle Dog/Rottweiler mix and a Am Staff/Golden Retriever/Boxer/Rottweiler mix.

I don't think Wise-ass and well mannered are mutually exclusive, they just compliment each other.  Gotta appreciate a dog, cause they always have your best interests at heart, and when they don't, at least they're honest about it.





Best companions one could ask more.  As the expression goes "I'd rather have a bad dog, than a good kid!"

Is Marly as opinionated on how things should be done as the other Guzzi-o-philes?

He may be well mannered and all, but he's not to be trusted. I paid good money last year for him to come sleep with me to keep me warm at Cedar vale, and he never showed up.

May be due to soon after you bought him I saw someone point at you and whisper in Marley's ear. After that Marley just wanted in the truck cab.

   In my experience, dogs are the best judges of character there are.  I don't know you from the man on the moon Chuck, but if I was you, I wouldn't spread that story around.   

All the Guzzi experts (is that a contradiction in terms?) can say you are a fine fellow, but if even one dog gives you a wide birth, I know which side I'd bet has the better read.

I knew SOMEONE would have to say that. I have rallies down there all the time, I'm just the only one that shows up    Much like if I PLANNED and announced a rally. NO one would show up... You have to have a following and charisma and a fan base and a title like the "sultan of Cedarvale" to make things like that happen. Hell, My posts don't even get read 

I could plan a campout @ Chadwick for the spring. It's right off of Mo. 125 a great strip of asphalt, lots of good riding all around, about an hour north of the peel ferry over Bull Shoals lake to Arkansas. Close to Ozark, MO. for hotels and restaurants. Who's in???

On second thought maybe not a good idea, you'd have to get a visa and some of you old guys might not be up to the mileage, and I think gas is running about $5 for mid grade.

Better to have it in the states.

I think the Californians get a bad rap. To me, they seem very open to whatever your lifestyle is. I've spent a fair amount of time out there..and they don't seem to mind this Indiana redneck at all.

I really don't have much California 'sperience. The time I was out there I spent in a prison (4 days) But I did teach some dudes how to run embroidery equipment.
