Got a new phone for my birthday, and ran down to Indy and had it activated. Dorcia took me out to eat at a place called Twin Peaks. I thought, "That would be nice.. I *love* the mountains, and it looks like an outdoorsy place.."The first picture with my new fone.. 2017-05-12_05-50-26 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
Thanks for the CDs, John. Anxiety? Not me. I couldn't care less whether I have a phone with me or not. If I did, I wouldn't have lost that one. It was my first smart fone..Just the same, I wasted most of the day yesterday searching for the best new phone under $300. Ordered last night, it'll be here tomorrow, (60 bux off from Amazon, Lannis) and Dorcia will be much happier.
Actually, the food was outstanding.. for bar food. Excellent local IPA (Dare devil) on tap. The Buffalo Trace bourbon bread pudding and ice cream was killer. When we returned home, the Kid called, sang happy birthday, and said he'd (finally) soloed in the Funk on my birthday. It was good for me.
Goosetavo,For you and GliderJohn the 2017 Thunder on the Smoky event in Marquette will be on Sat May 20. It is a good opportunity to see the museum and take in a lot of bikes and other attractions. Here is a link to the calendar. http://www.ksmotorcyclemuseum.org/schedule.htmlIt will be a busy weekend for me but I will probably go up to Marquette Sat. morning and come back that afternoon. I have been to the Augusta museum a few times myself and love the place. Would be a worthwhile ride from Cedar Vale, although it would take about half a day to ride up (1hr.15min. each way) and spend a couple hours there.
Here's some photos the Mrs. wanted me to get posted up. how to upload a photo on fb

Oh, I'm in the last picture. You no doubt didn't recognize me because my shirt was untucked and you couldn't see my six pack..
Beautiful day in Cedar Vale. Hilltop Restaurant was busy for breakfast with the influx of Guzzisti. Hewins Park was bustling with Guzzisti. Forty-something folks for supper at the pavillion. The weather is great, so don't miss Saturday's festivities, if you're in the area.A few pix from Hewins Park today:Luap and Luap's GirlDusty and LuapRodekyllZoom ZoomChuck in Indiana with the Aero LarioTom and his better halfPlenty of room to spread out in a 40-acre park.
