Got a new phone for my birthday,  and ran down to Indy and had it activated. Dorcia took me out to eat at a place called Twin Peaks. I thought, "That would be nice.. I *love* the mountains, and it looks like an outdoorsy place.."

My oldest grade school buddy, a bachelor all his life, loves the place.  And he knows all the girls there (shades of Mr Nevada).  I try to meet meet him there when it's warm and we can sit out on the patio so I can have a cigar.  The bike nights are pretty weak.  Food is OK (better than hooters but no oysters).

The chain is infamous because of the Waco biker massacre.  It's OK.  Poker run fodder.

Actually, the food was outstanding.. for bar food. Excellent local IPA (Dare devil) on tap. The Buffalo Trace bourbon bread pudding and ice cream was killer.  When we returned home, the Kid called, sang happy birthday,  and said he'd (finally) soloed in the Funk on my birthday.  :thumb: It was good for me.

Thanks for the CDs, John.  Anxiety? Not me. I couldn't care less whether I have a phone with me or not. If I did, I wouldn't have lost that one. It was my first smart fone..
Just the same, I wasted most of the day yesterday searching for the best new phone under $300. Ordered last night, it'll be here tomorrow, (60 bux off from Amazon, Lannis)  and Dorcia will be much happier.

I think you would have needed a new phone anyway. I tried to turn on phone to see if we could ID owner. It wouldnt turn on, so I tried to charge it. Still wouldnt turn on. Last i knew it was still on stage when i left. Wonder if it might have gotten wet. Usually deadly to phones.

Goosetavo,
For you and GliderJohn the 2017 Thunder on the Smoky event in Marquette will be on Sat May 20.  It is a good opportunity to see the museum and take in a lot of bikes and other attractions.  Here is a link to the calendar. http://www.ksmotorcyclemuseum.org/schedule.html

It will be a busy weekend for me but I will probably go up to Marquette Sat. morning and come back that afternoon.

I have been to the Augusta museum a few times myself and love the place.  Would be a worthwhile ride from Cedar Vale, although it would take about half a day to ride up (1hr.15min. each way) and spend a couple hours there.
I am up for riding and checking out Thunder on the Smokey, although I am kinda hoping for dry weather.

Sorry guys. I would like to do the Thunder on on the Smokies but have my four year old granddaughter's first dance recital and a long time friend's memorial service that day. Maybe next year.

Beautiful day in Cedar Vale.  Hilltop Restaurant was busy for breakfast with the influx of Guzzisti.  Hewins Park was bustling with Guzzisti.  Forty-something folks for supper at the pavillion.

The weather is great, so don't miss Saturday's festivities, if you're in the area.

A few pix from Hewins Park today:

Just a bit more reminiscing . I'm thinking the guy that built that trike from scratch is one talented capable dude

Looking at the pics, A9 and A10 stand out. I think I remember meeting A9, although he looks a little long in the face.

A10: Well............... ................... ................... ............ He just looks lost.

Seriously, good to see the pics!

Chuck, what is with the lame attempt to display some mediocre rack when you have all thoes attractive ladies around you. You dog you!

I suppose you're going to tell us Dorcia took the picture as well. <sigh>
