The Mis-Adventures Tour is what I’m naming it Dusty!!

Sort of like going to Petaluma via Timbuktu!

Who knew there were so many back entrances to Woolaroc!

 I come to think of it as "The Magical Mystery Tour"

So are we gonna do the auctioning of junk , er , unwanted , umm , vintage pieces of Guzzi collectibles ? Kirby's idea is brilliant , bring an unwanted small item that someone would be willing to pay a few bucks for , betting it will be worth some laughs .

I am "in" for a visit to Woolaroc! My wife's father visited Woolaroc many times. Joe Fortenberry played basketball on the Phillips team, and won a gold medal in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. There may be photos of him, including one dressed as a cowboy astride a pony, with his feet on the ground.

a few of us rode to the Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum in Augusta (east side of Wichita).

http://www.twistedoz.com

looks like Guzzi really did build a tractor.

If you decide to ride there, you can visit the water fall at the fishing lake and follow the creek road (#14) which is perhaps the only road that twists in this part of the state.

Dangit , the T shirt printer called yesterday , it seems they need the order in by April the 4th to guarantee shipment by May 1 . No idea why , but I don't feel like arguing with them at this time .

Anyway , if you want what is going to become a collector's item and famous piece of Moto Guzzi Iconica and you are hesitating , time is running out . Get your order and deposit in ASAP , or be sad when your fellow Guzzista show up wearing one of these works of art and you don't own one

Got word today from my surgeon....no riding for 8 weeks. (Had a cancerous prostate removed via robotics last Froday)

Prior to surgery he said 4 weeks, then I can do whatever I wanted. That meant Cedar Vale was doable.
Now he says no bicycles or motorcycles for at least 8 weeks.
I am pissed, as that venue and all the people that put it on, do an incredible job.

I was a noob last year, on the red BMW  '98 R1100GS. My 73 Eldorado wasn't quite ready for the trip.
Everybody was very welcoming! Very disappointed I can't make it.

Next year for sure. Looking forward to pics and ride reports.

Did your surgeon say anything about driving a car?  I'm driving again this year.  I still see the same people, have the same good time, just arrive in four wheels instead of on two.

Can't you ride to Cedar Vale standing on the pegs?

Sorry to hear riding is out, but all that means is you can't be in the slow race!

All other events including chair-sitting, bench-racing, fire-stoking, beercan tossing, moon-howling, and Dusty-harrassing are still open... :thumb:

Cedar Vale - thats just a bit to the right of Salt Lake City isn't it?

I reckon the Eskimo Spy must know a good route to there being that he's from Arkansas

I was referring to our member Fubarguzzi who was one of the original six , at the first CV he ended up about 6 miles North of town on a dirt road . If not for a young lady walking along the road he may have ended up back in Nebraska

Thinking about attending this rally and meeting some of the folks here. With regards to the camping I assume that there is a bathhouse with showers and facilities available at the venue but since this would be my first Guzzi Rally at this location and I couldn’t find anything to confirm it I thought I would pose the question. Any feedback would be appreciated

Yes , bathrooms and a shower with hot water . The motel owner allows us to use the facilities there also , it is just a few blocks from the park . We work it out , it just takes some coordination . Yes , do come on this is a good rally to meet Guzzi folks from all over the country , but small enough to not be overwhelming .  I am still accepting deposits . The contact thread is pinned at the top , check out the T shirts .

So far the schedule still looks good to get up to Cedar Vale...hoping it holds.

Just got a new set of Pilot Road 4’s GT’s to put on the Norge as the rear doesn’t look like it will make a 1500 mile adventure without hitting the cords...and I can’t afford time wise to be stuck somewhere waiting for a tire.

WIFi Sat night could be provided by a Hotspot...I’m sure we can make that work.

You need to have PJPR01 lead you to Woolaoc.   Paul knows how to find the secret back entrance that hasn't been used since 1952.

Be sure to wave at the creepy kid playing the banjo.

We can even arrange for some extra mileage ... we now have incorporated a special Woolaroc to Bartlesville round trip we affectionately call the Small Block Spark Plug Run!  I’ll be printing certificates for those who complete that loop in under 45 minutes!
