Hewins Park is reserved , dates are set .

Would like to remind everyone that this is a fundraiser , between the two annual events we have in Cedar Vale there has been over $10,000. raised since 2014 . The city spent almost $4,000. on the new bathroom facilities at the pool house which are open for our use. New showers and toilet facilities were installed . Some of you guys who started coming in 2013 remember the old wiring in the pavilion, the old fire trap fuse panel from 1950 , the light bulbs hanging from the wiring attached by wire nuts , it was always an adventure figuring out which socket to screw a fuse into so we could have juice in the structure . Now we have a nice modern breaker panel , lights that meet modern code , and enough receptacles to make everyone happy . Heck the first two years we only had one cold water shower in the park , the city paid for a hot water tank so we would have at least one hot shower , now we have three .

So why does this matter , well , we are always raising money , year round , small donations of $5.00 add up , we are still short of the bathroom fund goal even though the work has been done . The other group provided over $2,500. towards that fund , mostly relying on them to finish that off over the next year or so . Now we are looking to raise some seed money for the restoration of the South exterior pavilion wall . It is in bad shape and needs attention . The structure is over 100 years old , and is the centerpiece of the rallies, providing shelter for all of us . Not asking anyone to make a large sacrifice , as stated before , several small donations would be wonderful .

Even though it's a brutal 83 mile ride from my front door to Hewins Park, I plan on being there.  :bike-037:

I will be making the Brutal 120 mile trip from Joplin to the event if I can get the timing chain/damper on the G5 switched out by then. If someone has a new on on the shelf they would like to part with, let me know.
I will be the guy sitting behind a billboard on 166 along the route waiting like an old Highway Patrol Motor Cop to see another Guzzi streak by. I will then flog the V1000 mercilessly to catch up.

I have challenged the other group to finish paying for the restrooms , would like to raise some seed money to help pay for restoring the South wall of the 100+ year old pavilion .

In 2019 we did the raffle bike , and the profits went to the board , so far we haven't turned up a suitable bike , so looking for other ideas , or heck, another bike that would work . Any ideas ?

Could just set up a "Rebuild the Wall" donation box.  No politics intended or implied.

Small amounts can come directly to me , I'll put the address in the first post . Anything more than $20.00 can be sent directly to Cedar Vale . Let me find the PO Box . Just make a notation , cite Moto Guzzi , or Wild Guzzi , and what the money is for . Will contact Emili and let he know what is happening . Thanks .

I like the idea of rolling into a community having the locals feel like they gained a lot from our being there. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

It really is an amazing thing . Between the two groups we have brought about 450 people to Cedar Vale over the years , a figure that wouldn't even register in a town of 5,000 , but in a village of 500 we have an impact . Let the big boys play on a big stage , I'll take making a difference in a place the world has forgotten .

Still raising funds for the restroom improvements thru the other group , hopefully we can retire that debt by next year .

Still haven't located a suitable raffle bike .

This group always amazes me  :thumb:

We have a 2007 Breva 1100 with roughly 60K miles on the clock that has been offered by a board member as the 2020 raffle bike . The only real snag is the fact that it is in North Dakota , so we need to deliver it to GliderJohn's place .

Well , the lovely big Breva is safely ensconced at Gliderjohn's place . The pictures indicate she is a real beauty , even our own Pete Roper has purchased some raffle tickets , and we know how discerning Pete is .

Here is the pricing structure for tickets .

 $20.00 for one ticket .
 $35.00 for two tickets
 $60.00 for five tickets
$10.00 a piece for anything over that .

Just like the 2019 raffle bike , we will address any real issues before the rally , or during
