New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Here's my G-5
I guess I should do what I said I would do with this thread... Here is a current one for sale:Moto Guzzi G5 1000cc 1981 - $3700https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy/d/moto-guzzi-g5-1000cc-1981/6349960013.htmlIf anyone here buys it, I want those pipes - speaking of, who sells those or are they no longer available?
Charlie Pinero had the first G5 in the states in 1978 he was personal friends with the Berliner importer he had that bike for a year-and-a-half I purchased it from him with 33,000 miles on it in a year-and-a-half I drove it and put on over over 250,000 miles on that bike thing was beautiful the biggest thing that ever had to go wrong on it was the clutch heads were never off the whole time I had it I sold it to a guy in Canada far as I know it's still running if you can find or have the initial brochure of the G5 they'll show a person with a brown leather coat standing under a stone bridge and the G5 is in front that is not me personally but it is the motorcycle that I ended up owning Berliner had to borrow the bike back from Charlie Pinero so they can make the brochures I did have a wonderful time with that my bike originally had pegs I changed it over to floorboards that I got from goast motorcycle as a take off of another bike excellent motorcycleTOMB
Conti replicas, likely made by Bub. Don't know of anyone that makes them for Guzzis, but there are stainless steel repros available, just Goggle "Conti replica mufflers". I'm not sure what brand the Conti reps on my "barn find" 850-T are.
Good deal, thanks! I've heard them on Youtube and they do sound pretty nice. Barn find looks to be all there, what are the plans with that one?
Someone, please go grab this one so I don't have to think about it anymore.. It appears to be priced right, and looks like a good one. Nice Lester wheels too.https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/mcy/6614470687.htmlNo affiliation with the seller, and I have not spoken with the seller either. Just linking it here for anyone interested in pursuing.
If that was closer to home, I'd be at risk for buying it.Seriously considering buying this. Can get it home for $400.Hmmmm.I've already got two small-block V7's and a dual disc Eldorado. I don't need a G5 too, right?
Ok so I called about the G5 in chicago (it is a land line) and talked about the bike for a while and Sat. I will go pick it up. I'm trying to find a bike I can bond with, I started with a 76 convert and really liked the bike but I like running through the gears better so I will try the G5, sooo in my search for a bike to bond with I picked up a 2009 Calvin in pearl white off a member last fall that is a really nice bike but it just don't do it for me and I will be listing it soon, if anyone is interested PM me for details and if this G5 don't work out it will go and my search will continue :boozing:I will try a new post later how the G5 pick up and ride goes Bruce
... Now I can stop thinking about.
