New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I understand there is a GPS plug under the tank. Do I need to pull the tank to get at it? Thanks.
You shouldn't have to. It should be hiding behind the cover around the steering head. RH side I think?Pete
Jeez! Don't you folks ever read the owner's manual? No excuse saying your bike didn't come with one, they're free for downloading on the web. There's lots of useful stuff in those manuals, like what kind of oil to use, so you don't have to rely on the strongly held, but often incorrect, opinions expressed here, which might apply to an entirely different bike.
I must apologize for my earlier smug post. I've looked through all of the user's manuals, workshop manuals, and parts catalogs for all of the 1400 cc models available online at guzzitec gb (http://guzzitek.org/gb/accueil_gb.htm), and none of them indicate where the GPS socket is located. I suppose we're expected to intuit the location. Sorry. The GPS socket is shown in the workshop manual for my V7 Stone, but not in the user manual or the parts catalog. Go figure.
Removing my tank to get to a GPS plug sounds a little ridiculous to me. Here is what I did on my California Custom. I like the USB too.
